What Should Scare Turkey

Stephen Kinzer authored an op/ed in today's New York Times regarding the lure of autonomy presented by the KRG. Although opinion polls repeatedly affirm that Turkish Kurds are overwhelmingly not interested in joining the KRG or even in forming an independent state (sometimes by majorities over 90 percent), Kinzer is right in intimating that the KRG example heightens the need for Turkey to address cultural rights so as to stave off separatism.
